Become a member of Portsmouth Players

Tier 1

Want to help out behind the scenes? From costumes and props to set design and stage crew, Tier 1 is perfect for anyone who wants to be part of the action—on your own terms. No audition needed, just a quick application!

  • Annual fee – £40
  • Entitled to all the rights of Players membership
  • Voting rights of membership

Tier 2

Ready to perform? Tier 2 is for aspiring cast members. You’ll need to audition with two contrasting musical theatre songs (backing tracks only—we’ll play them from your phone) and join a dance workshop. Don’t forget your dancing shoes! Must be 18+ to join.

  • Entitled to all the rights of Players membership

Friends of Players

Love theatre but not ready to commit? Become a Friend of the Portsmouth Players! You’ll get exclusive updates, invites to events and rehearsals, and our bi-annual newsletter. Plus, you can attend our general meetings and help shape our future.

  • Annual fee – £50
  • Access to elements of Players’ membership (no voting rights)
  • Ability to attend specific rehearsals / dress rehearsals
  • Discounted tickets for specific performances (to be agreed)
  • Your name recorded in our programmes
